What people ask us most about MiVPN Cloud.
MiVPN at home uses your home connection and your home IP, and lets you get into your home network (files, cameras, computers). MiVPN Cloud doesn't need anything at home: it gives you a fixed IP in the country you choose, on a server just for you. It doesn't give access to your home network.
You choose the country. Within that country, we assign you one of the available data centres.
For now, the country is chosen when you sign up. If you need to change it, write to us from the support chat and we'll sort it out with you. Bear in mind that in another country your IP would be different.
As many as you like, with no limit. In the app you create one client per device, which you use with your account. For someone else, invite them: they get their own username and password.
We'll email you when you reach 80%. If you hit the limit, the server is paused until the 1st of next month and then comes back on its own, with the same IP. For reference, 1,800 GB is about 600 hours of HD video.
No. We only count how many GB your server uses, for the monthly limit. If we receive an abuse complaint about your IP, we'll let you know, as explained in the usage rules.
No. We manage the server for you: we create it, keep it updated and protect it. All you have to do is connect your devices.
Your server keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, plus a few extra days. After that we delete it and its IP is no longer yours. If you come back, we'll create a new one for you in minutes, with a different IP.
